Features of BioEra
Mindfield BioEra is a software which was specifically developed for modern and goal-oriented neurofeedback-training. The individual designs match specific criteria of demand, hence there is only a minimum of personal adjustments to be made. The modular software architecture easily unscrambles the build-up of the software, in order for the user to quickly configurate his goals for the training, according to the session. The recurrent structure of the screen guarantees a good overview over the training.

Description of the Individual Training-screens (exemplary for the Module Clinical Basic)
The following sections display the training-screens (designs) with different focal points for training and levels of difficulty. The neurofeedback-training should follow an ascending level of difficulty and demand.
Phases of Neurofeedback-training:
1. Learning phase
2. Automation phase
3. Stabilization phase
In practice this indicates applying screens that are suitable for beginners (learning phase) at first.

Reduction-training
This type of design allows the training of extensive artefact-reduction with beginners, to assure that no muscle-artefacts and restlessness of movement influence the EEG.

Reduction-training - Pacman
This design is basically the same as the normal reduction-training design, only that this one also offers the user a Pacman-game as a mechanism of feedback. Pacman is a popular and classical game, where a small character devours coins and monsters, but only if the user does not produce any muscle-artefacts and follows the adjusted thresholds of all wave bands that are to be trained.

Puzzle (Bargraph)
During the automation-phase, this design qualifies for training the adjusted reward and inhibit wave bands and lets the user solve different jigsaw puzzles.

Puzzle (Time)
During both the automation- and the stabilization phase, the users can try to beat their personal records in finishing the jigsaw puzzles.

Electric Bulb
This design requires undisturbed concentration and is used only with advanced users during the stabilization phase.

Threesome Challenge
This is a very complex training scenario, where variable wave bands can be combined. The user takes part in a race against himself and wins by controlling all the different parts of frequency from his EEG.

Individual Screen
During this stage, advanced users can chose from three different wave bands (Delta, Theta, Alpha, SMR, Lo-Beta, Beta, Hi-Beta, Gamma) and from the precondition (Reward or Inhibit). There are many optional animations and audio-files, that serve as feedback-mechanisms. The user can chose these from the provided stock, or even add his own.
